Ok, why is it that people insist on treating me like a 5 year old? Or, at least, one person does? I'm not a child, I know what I'm doing in my job, I don't need to be talked down to. I'm ranting about work, BTW. I hate that cow! Stop making it seem like I am the most useless person on the face of the planet - I do a hell of a lot more in a day that you you lazy cow! And whether you like it or not, you are NOT MY BOSS. My boss is a rather cool, laid back guy, not a freaking beeatch!!! I need ice cream. I want to curl up in bed and hide. Ok, maybe I am a child!

I recommend the book I'm currently reading: "P.S. I love You" by Cecilia Ahern. It's excellent!

Survived AHotF without Rach yesterday. It wasn't the same, I was bored. I made it through buildings in half the amount of time as my mom, so I did a lot of waiting by the door.

Off to get oil changed after work... joy. Head hurts. Want election to be over so I can stop hearing about it. Turning off computer now and leaving this godforsaken hole! (that is actually a well paying, good place to work, I just wish ONE PARTICULAR PERSON would leave!!!)

I am most pleased by the SatC finale. I love Big! (John, though? Waited 6 years and all they came up with was John?) Planning on watching the taped version with Rach this weekend. Have a work banquet thing on Saturday and it says "cocktail or business suits" for attire. I will be leaning towards the cocktail side, I think. Problem is, I own 2 cocktail dresses and I've lost 20 lbs since buying them. Hmmm. Delana, feel like taking something in this week? :P

I'm 26 and today I bathed a cat for the 1st time. As in in the tub with him. I then blowdried him with my ion drier and he seemed to like it.

Can I have a Mr Big for my very own?

Birthdays good. Gang at work decorated office with streamers, and, inexplicably, toilet paper. THAT got some looks! Took me to lunch at Posado's and had the waiters sing to me. Spontaneously burst into shame flames. Then back at work they got us all cupcakes with Piglet and Pooh and they had Pooh balloons too. Yay! Went to dinner at Bourbon St. Cafe, was the BEST food I've ever had in my life. Highly recommend it, worth the parking rates in Bricktown. Went to see Weird Al, and he was everything I hoped he would be. Didn't play "Twine Ball" but I can accept that, as it's not one of his hits. But it IS my favorite. Listened to it in the car on the way home. Slightly disturbed to read that Al has a daughter- baby fro?

It's my birthday! My b-b-b-birthday!

Bathroom is completely finished! Hole in enclosed, texturized, painted over, etc etc etc!!! Woo hoo! I keep enjoying my bathroom. Yay!

Here’s my timeline for yesterday:
8:00 pm – arrive home, stop and check mailbox. See parcel key in box, get excited at possible birthday package.
8:02 pm – open parcel box, spot package. Quickly grab to see what it is and who it’s from.
8:03 pm – see “Royal Mail” stamp, begin jumping giddily. It’s from Pip!
8:04- 8:06 pm- drive over to apartment, debating whether or not to open package right then or wait until actual birthday. Decide to be adult and wait.
8:07 pm – put box on dining room table. Try to hide under other items so as not to tempt self.
8:07 – 8:14 pm – do various projects around house to distract self. Set VCR, change clothes, tidy up, feed cats, box is calling me. Try not to look at box.
8:15 pm – crack and open box! Fun galore inside! Contents include a chocolate orange (which I will eat to compare with American chocolate oranges, and on which the calorie chart is in grams and therefore makes no sense to me, so I’m counting it as calorie free food!), a sweet little t-shirt from Debenham’s with a kitty cat and a martini, a card with glittery cats, a letter saying she’s still working on the “Mind the Gap” t-shirt, lip gloss, foot scrub that advertises it contains “interesting bits”, and the piece de resistance- Prince William stamps and postcards! (see picture) Yes! I had asked her for those a few months ago and offered to send her some money, but sweet lil Pip sent them as a gift! Woo hoo! Interesting because it says “HRH Prince William of Wales” and then it has it in Welsh as well, which to me just looks like a bunch of letters. As in “TWGYOB O GWISONGF” or something.
8:20 pm – dance around apartment in Prince William- inspired glee.
8:30 pm - try on kitty shirt- it fits, but barely. All the more reason to diet now to fit shirt better!
9:00 pm – shower and wash hair.
9:20 pm – scan Wills pic.
9:30- 10:20 pm- play on LJ.
10:20 pm – go to bed, for first time ever, with Wills in the room! :P
11:30 pm – fall asleep with cats curled around me and Wills on the bookcase.

Ok, here we go:

breakfast- 1/2 diet dr pepper can
1 pkg snack crackers with peanut butter (6 in package)

lunch- big n tasty combo from McD's with diet coke

dinner- 1 1/2 servings hunan chicken, 1 bowl egg drop soup, just the shell of the eggroll, 2 fortune cookies, 2 glasses water

snack- about 1/4 pint bunny tracks ice cream

Large hole in ceiling. Car needs fuel injectors flushed. Bad day at work. Have to get up early tomorrow to take car in to shop. Neighbors upstairs still not giving up key- suspect meth lab. Possibly new apt. on horizon but not for another month and for $100 more than I'm paying now. Only good thing going for me at moment is Nip/Tuck coming on in 16 minutes...

Ceiling is supposed to be replaced and painted over tomorrow. Hopefully I will not come home and have an aneuryism because I've discovered that it isn't done or they've done a half ass job. I've taken everything out of the bathroom except for the shower caddy because all that stuff can be washed off. Hopefully they can't ruin anything, but I'm sure they'll find a way!

Got a lovely massage at the mall tonight. I discovered that I enjoy it for 2 reasons- the first being, obviously, tension release, relaxation, etc. The other is that while I'm sitting there in the chair with my face in that cut out part, all I can see of the people going by is their shoes! :) I thororoughly enjoyed mentally critiquing them. I saw a pair that I have walk by as well!

I have to use this forum to convey how much I LOVE this new show! I've only seen the pilot and I'm already addicted. I haven't seen a new show come on that I've liked this much since ER. I have a new future husband- Julian McMahon! Yum-ME! To anyone who reads this journal, the pilot will be reshown on FX on Sunday night- WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!
